Lookit, I painted a thingy! I’m feeling very proud of myself. I’m getting my muses back after spending a long time waiting for my brain to recover. I started feeling better a couple weeks ago – a LOT better. Better than I’ve felt in YEARS.
So! This is a watercolor painting, actual dimensions 4″x6″ – it is a postcard. It is also a puzzle, just a little game I devised for my BFF, a sort of a gift as I reach something that looks like a breakthrough in my mental health and he takes the first steps towards finally dealing with his. On the back, I have written its message in a certain fictional alphabet (Tengwar), which he is challenged to decipher using ONLY the original author’s description of how it works. No help from the internet, no hints from friends who can already write in it, he has to do it like I did it and show off his awesome skillz. It’s symbolic of showing that if he can master this tangle the same way I did, he can tame his demons and reach places of peace and joy just like I’m starting to do now too.
Or, as I told him, I can't physically send him all of the hugs in the universe so I'm sending him a poem written in meticulously-crafted calligraphy on the back of a weird painting of cat feet.
