Dominic of The Pixel Palace

First of all, I apologize for the abysmal quality of this picture. I am a sort of wanderer and on the weekends, I live at a place that does not have a scanner. This is therefor a photograph... of a doodle, to be honest. I'm not ecstatically happy with it, but see.... my girl asked me to draw Dominic for her. Not the Nostalgia Critic or Ask That Guy -- Dominic, from Video Game Confessions.

Now... I was gonna try drawing Spoony or Linkara or Benzaie or Angry Joe or the Chick, and I have some video I filmed tonight to work on editing, and some webstuff to update, but dude... my girl asked for Dominic. So I tried to draw Dominic.

But... I'm not a gamer. I don't want to try to copy Doug's drawing style and make a picture of a VGC video he's already done... so I inserted what I think would be the funniest character for Dominic to tell a story about, from one of the only like... three video games I know arse-all about -- Vivec from Morrowind.

I find this idea funny because as messed up as the more or less vanilla characters discussed in the VGC videos are... Vivec is more messed up. Vivec is Ask That Guy level messed up. But... Bennett the Sage episode level messed up. In the original game. I am talking about a hermaphrodite elf stealing his godhood by messing with the heart of THE WORLD, challenging the canon god of rape to a dick-size contest, banishing a rival god by shoving his dick into her mouth, and going on to explain in his godly writings that "by the way, you guys reading this? You're fictional. Played by some person outside the game and all. Yeah. Have fun with that." It's a lot more complex and vague than that but it's such a marvellous idea. Not to mention masterful slipping content past the censors by purple-prosing it into incomprehensibility to anyone who isn't paying attention. Oh yeah. Trust me -- there is a LOT of sex in Morrowind. Sex and skooma. And cannibals. And plague mutants. And furries who want to become your "VERY special friend." And a goddess with an entire army called "Her Hands" and just GUESS what one of their other duties is. No, really. Guess. Let your mind get REALLY filthy. Yeah. They go there.

I adore ever twisted aspect of this game. I really do. It's so under appreciated. So this is me exercising the artist's right to push a personal agenda while also fulfilling requests. And there you have the story behind doodling Dominic being traumatized by Vivec.



Also... yes, I know Doug is right-handed. I'm not and it looks weird to me in all of those videos to watch him drawing with what looks to me like the "wrong" hand. I actually DID try to give that consideration when I drew this but I started the smaller drawing with a different pose and ended up drawing him using the wrong hand when I changed it.

So uhh... Doug, use the correct hand! Yes, that's right! CONFORM TO MY DRAWINGS! I have no shame!
