Shrike

Last night I decided to try to teach myself sumi-e in 24 hours using a book I found at a used book store and the sheer force of my manic genius. 

After several hours of trying, this is my first successful attempt to paint a bird. It's a little shrike-bird, one of my favourite species I've never seen. <3
