Yes, this is totally fan art for a Nostalgia Critic episode that is not even posted to the site yet.

Yes, I am aware that I... have a problem.

But I swear, I can stop drawing Doug whenever I want to. And I'm gonna do it, too. One of these days, just as soon as the kids start school and work settles down, although it'll have to be after my imaginary cousin-in-law's wedding because--

Anyway, here's the Nostalgia Kitty, from the Rover Dangerfield review.

I imagine the Critic is not a guy who has too many friends. I somehow doubt he gets out much. Just a hunch. So I can totally see him being one of those people who treats their pets as a substitution for real human interaction. And, being somehow simultaneously pathetic and egotistical, I can totally see the Critic dressing his hypothetical pet up so they liek totally match lol BFFs 4-evar!

And then he probably uses the cat to destroy old Barry Manilow cassette tapes. Remember how you could just pull the tape out of those things? I bet he does that and tugs it around the house instead of string for the cat to chase and subsequently maul.




If the amount of thought I deciptively appear to have put into this frightens you, the alternate description is "AWW LOOKIT THE CRITIC CUDDLING A CUTE FUZZY THING!" Just go with whichever one makes you the most comfortable with how your reality is structured. Or something.
